GMT & UTC time

these two abbreviations means Greenwich Mean Time and Coordinated  Universal Time (CUT)

UTC was the first reference for the world to maintain a constant time in the years about 1960 according to this  wiki-Related-Page .

there is a difference between UTC , TUC and CUT .

the TUC  (temps universel coordonné) is the french equal of CUT or TCU

according to the above image  ,   you can calculate any location's time difference .

for example ARABIA  is 3 hours ahead of the UTC and Iran is 4 hours and 30 minutes ahead of Coordinated Universal time.

time the GMT is the current time of  the city Greenwich located in England.

Cabin Service manual

I was studying the book "Cabin Service Manual" that I face some new term such as :

 "Boarding" , "bassinet", etc

as most of the times i started searching the net the first page was This Page about Boarding in wiki  (the good Boy) in which this paragraph was more important:

Boarding is the entry of passengers onto a vehicle, usually in public transportation. Boarding starts with entering the vehicle and ends with the seating of each passenger and closure of the doors. The term is used in road, water and air transport (for example, passengers board a coach).

the I did got the chance of reading about Airstair

which is the set of steps by which the passengers get into the Aircraft. and in some types of aircrafts there is no need to ground services as the aircraft has its own stairs. like this:

the other term is "Bassinet" which is the facility in aircraft to hold the cute babies :

gross weight

I always have a piece of paper with me and and when I here s-th  new at work , write it down for later investigation and googling process . this time my key word was gross-weight (wiki pedia):

I read a bit the wiki pages , in which this paragraph did have s-th new for me:

The authorised (or certified) weight limits are chosen by the customer/airline and they are referred to as the "purchased weights". An operator may purchase a certified weight below the maximum design weights because many of the airport operating fees are based on the aircraft AFM maximum allowable weight values. An aircraft purchase price is, typically, a function of the certified weight purchased.
